The Victorian has fired rounds of 68 and 70 to be at four-under par and tied for 14th position heading into Sunday. Karrie Webb, who is defending champion this week and Sarah Kemp are just a further shot back and tied for 19th.
On a day when the wind got up in the afternoon, current Rolex World No. 2 Stacy Lewis took full advantage of being out early. She carded a flawless round of 8-under-par 63 to lead the tournament at 12-under-par. The posted four birdies on the front and back nine respectively for a very consistent round.
Lewis will take a one shot lead into Sunday over Christina Kim (67), with another American Jennifer Johnson (70) a further stroke adrift. Swede Anna Nordqvist and American Gerina Piller are at eight-under-par.
It has been a good tournament for the Aussie contingent with five of the seven making the cut. Katherine Kirk carded a three-under-par on Saturday to finish at one-under-par and is tied for 36th. Stacey Keating also made the cut, she is at one-over, which was the cut number and tied for 55th.
Unfortunately Sarah Jane Smith (+4) and Julia Boland (+4) both missed out.
