Six Australians are competing in next week’s LPGA Qualifying tournament being played at the Plantation Golf & Country Club in Venice, Florida.
Stage 2 is being plant over 72 holes, from 8 to 11 October, with no cut on the Bobcat and Panther courses. 195 players are teeing it up with the top 80 and ties advancing to the third and final stage of the Qualifying School.
Rebecca Artis, Stacey Keating lead the Australian contingent. Artis has been in excellent form over the last couple of months in Europe, while Stacey Keating has had an up and down year.
Joining Artis and Keating is West Australian Kristie Smith, New South Wales Emma de Groot (pictured), Queensland amateur Ellen Davies-Graham and Sydney’s Corie Hou. Davies-Graham and Hou both progressed from Stage 1.
New Zealand also has two players in the field Cathryn Bristow and Sarah Bradley.
Other notable names in the field include American Cheyenne Woods, England’s Melissa Reid, South African Lee-Anne Pace and France’s Joanna Klatten.
