China’s Shanshan Feng took out the season ending Omega Dubai Ladies Masters by an impressive five shots.
The 23-year-old from Guangzhou fired rounds of 66, 65, 67 and 67 to finish atop of the leaderboard at 21-under-par, recording the lowest winning total in the tournament’s seven year history. The Rolex Ranked World No. 6 beat the previous best of 18-under jointly held by Sweden’s Annika Sorenstam and South Korean In Kyung Kim.
Dewi-Claire Schreefel of the Netherlands, finished outright second at 16-under-par. Meanwhile Wales’ Becky Brewerton and Germany Caroline Masson finished four shots further back in a tie for third.
Of the Australians in the field, Sarah Kemp finished the best. Kemp posted a final round of 69 to finish at six-under-par and tied for 20th position. Bree Arthur was a further shot back and tied for 24th. Kristie Smith finished at three-under and shared 30th position, while Stacey Keating finished a further shot adrift and tied for 34th. Stephanie Na was tied for 49th at even-par and Nikki Garrett was tied for 50th at one-over-par.
Keating finished as the leading Australian on the LET, she finished sixth on the ISPS Handa Order of Merit with Euro 159,782 from 22 starts, which included two wins.
