American Stacy Lewis claimed a one-shot victory at the LPGA HSBC Women`s Champions event in Singapore on Sunday.

Lewis, who finished in a tie for third at the Honda LPGA Thailand event last week, won the sixth title of her career as she finished on an overall score of 15-under-par.

She edged South Korean Na Yeon Choi for the title, while American Paula Creamer was a shot further adrift in third.

\"The last four or five holes, I was pretty nervous, I`m not going to lie,\" said Lewis after her thrilling win.

\"I just played hard and put my head down and tried to make as many putts as I could and fortunately I came away with the win.\"

Lewis was tied with Choi heading into the final day of the tournament but her one-under 71 was enough to give her victory.

An eagle, two birdies and a bogey on the front nine gave her enough leeway to allow for a late hiccup.

Lewis hit bogeys on holes 15 and 17 but Choi`s average round - which included two birdies and two bogeys - was not enough to force a playoff as she shot 14-under for the tournament.

Choi lost the same event in a playoff in 2012.

Creamer also hit a one-under 71, with two late bogeys on holes 15 and 16 costing her a chance of a potential triumph.

Thailand`s Ariya Jutanugarn was five shots off the pace in fourth while American duo Jessica Korda and Danielle Kang and Chinese Taipei`s Candie Kung were tied for fifth at nine-under.

Karrie Webb was the best placed Australian, with the veteran shooting a final round of 69 to tie for 18th place at four under.
